New Facts! One Piece Reveals the 4 Unbeatable Gods of the Age of Void—Who Are They?

MUST COMIC - The theme of Gods plays a pivotal role in the Elbaf arc of One Piece. Throughout the 29-year run of Eiichiro Oda's manga in Weekly Shonen Jump, Elbaf stands out as the arc most focused on the Gods and divine beings inhabiting the world.
While many Gods have been mentioned or alluded to previously in One Piece, the Elbaf arc has revealed four of the most powerful ones to us. The latest was unveiled in One Piece Chapter 1189, released on July 26, 2026, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #35.

To date, One Piece has revealed four supreme Gods: the Demon God, the Sun God, the Rain God, and—most recently—the Sea God, introduced in Chapter 1189.
One Piece Chapter 1189 Introduces the Sea God King
On July 26, 2026, One Piece Chapter 1189 was published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #35, just before the series went on hiatus. The chapter featured several monumental moments,
such as Nerona Imu's absolute dominance over Monkey D. Luffy; Imu pierced him with the "Sword of Nothingness: Vohu," followed by strikes from other weapons. Simultaneously, the chapter showcased the immense power of two Holy Knights—Sommers and Killingham—following the "Omen" power-up they received in Chapter 1180 and the weapon upgrades that occurred in Chapter 1189.
Perhaps the most significant—yet often overlooked—part of the chapter occurs when Imu reveals a special sword from the Empty Throne known as the "Sea God's Sword: Fragarach." This blade is incredibly powerful, inflicting fatal damage on Luffy and threatening to kill him right before our eyes in Warland.
Moreover, the sword's name carries profound significance. As confirmed in this chapter, this sword belongs to the Sea God—a pivotal figure from the Second World, or the Void Century, who rivaled Nika in One Piece.

The Sea God was first mentioned in One Piece Chapter 1138 (released February 3, 2025, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #10) within the "Harley Text," specifically in the section discussing the era of the Void Century.
“You cannot move now. That sword is devouring your vitality. How much is required to end your life? Monkey D. Luffy! A loathsome name! You have two brothers with different names... one slaughtered by the Marines... the other a prominent figure in the Revolutionary Army. Sea God’s Sword: Fragarach!!” — Nerona Imu reveals the Sea God’s Sword, One Piece Chapter 1189.
We already knew the Sea God existed during this period, but it was unclear whose side they were on. One Piece Chapter 1189 confirms that the Sea God was one of the 19 Kings who swore allegiance before the Empty Throne. In other words, the Sea God sided against Joy Boy.
They were one of the rulers of the 20 Nations that united to oppose the Ancient Kingdom. With the Sea God’s presence, we now have another divine entity from the Void Century known to possess immense power.
The Sea God wields a sword named Fragarach—a weapon of tremendous strength, capable of turning anything in its path to dust, as vividly demonstrated in One Piece Chapter 1189.

One Piece Chapter 1182 Reveals Zaza, the Rain God of the Void Century
The Sea God is the latest addition to the pantheon of Gods officially revealed to us during the Elbaf arc, but there is another God whom Eiichiro Oda has officially introduced in this arc. Among them, the most significant figure—and one currently playing a role in Elbaf—is the Rain God.
Officially introduced in One Piece Chapter 1182 (published May 10, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #24), the Rain God was mentioned by Saint Killingham. According to Killingham, there are three things the Celestial Dragons fear most: the Sun God Nika, the people bearing the initial "D.," and the Rain God, Zaza.
"We were born in a place very high up, above all the rain clouds. Water falling from the sky? That was a source of mysterious terror! After the 'D.'s and Nika, it was the most common bogeyman they warned us about... that down in the world below, there was a monster called the Rain God who would pour water right down on your head!" — Saint Killingham explaining Zaza, One Piece Chapter 1182
Killingham himself—still very young—had never actually seen Zaza in his life. Yet, driven by the fear of Zaza instilled in him by the tales told among the Celestial Dragons, Killingham managed to manifest an MMA-style version of this mighty deity—an entity that is currently wreaking havoc in Elbaf.
The Rain God Zaza appears in response to prayers for rain, unleashing torrential downpours capable of flooding entire villages and destroying nations.
The Rain God appears to possess a body made of water, granting him the ability to neutralize Devil Fruit powers; this makes him one of the most formidable deities ever seen in One Piece. Clearly, he is a One of the most impressive deities we have seen in this story—and another confirmed to us through the Elbaf arc—is the Demon God Nerona Imu.

The Demon God Nerona Imu and the Sun God Nika are the two most powerful deities of the Void Century. In addition to the Sea God and the Rain God, the Elbaf arc in One Piece showcases the two mightiest deities of the Void Century: the Demon God Nerona Imu and the Sun God Nika.
Nerona Imu arrived in Elbaf on April 5, 2026, in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump issue #19, coinciding with the release of One Piece Chapter 1179. Shortly thereafter, Imu’s Devil Fruit—an Akuma no Mi—was revealed, and Imu underwent a demonic transformation.
In One Piece Chapter 1181, Loki officially referred to Imu’s power as "Divine Domination" or a "Pact with the Devil."
Essentially, Imu wields the power of a Demon God within the One Piece world; this power allows Imu to grant demonic abilities to loyal subordinates and followers through pacts, while turning anyone who dares to oppose Imu into a demonic slave. Imu’s power as a Demon God is absolute, and currently, there is virtually no one who can rival it.
Last but not least is the Sun God Nika, who always appears during times of great change—a fact explained by Elder Jarul in One Piece Chapter 1136 on January 20, 2025. During the Void Century, Joy Boy assumed the form of the Sun God Nika and instilled deep fear in the Demon God Nerona Imu.

In the current era, Monkey D. Luffy finally consumed the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika Devil Fruit and officially awakened it in Chapter 1044 on March 28, 2022. Luffy has not yet unleashed the full potential of the Nika ability, meaning that, at present, he is not among the world's strongest gods. However, as the story progresses toward the Final War, Luffy's power will grow dramatically, and he will attain a higher level of strength that rivals Nerona Imu himself.
